Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Walker that are seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, posting payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers for vendor payments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and receivable, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for AP/AR.
• Maintain vendor and customer master files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Certification in Accounts Payable (e.g., CAPA) or Accounts Receivable (e.g., CARA).
