Job SummaryJoin West’s Engineering Team as an Intern! Dive into a dynamic and fast‑paced work environment where your contributions truly matter. As a West Engineering Intern, you’ll be part of exciting projects that propel our business forward, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand how they work together to optimize operations and meet customer needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Gain hands‑on experience in a manufacturing engineering team, including equipment and process optimization.
- Analyze data, troubleshoot problems, and investigate root causes.
- Manage projects and improve equipment efficiency.
- Reduce scrap and identify continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes.
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering major.
- No minimum required.
Skills And Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data management, analysis, and presentation.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills: strong ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Customer focus: committed to meeting the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Team collaboration and communication: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.
Light‑exerting tasks up to 20 lbs (9 kg) frequently or negligible force constantly to move objects.
Additional Requirements- Able to comprehend mechanical drawings, computer systems, and manufacturing processes.
