NPI Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in Walker seeking experienced NPI Engineers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product design for manufacturability and testability.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new product introduction.
- Conduct first article inspections and ensure product quality throughout the NPI process.
- Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing risks during product development.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for NPI processes and product launches.
- Document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control plans for new products.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with PCBA bring-up, debug, and functional test development.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and quality control methodologies.
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python) for data analysis or automation.
- Understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Background in a specific manufacturing process relevant to the company's products (e.g., machining, electronics assembly, injection molding).
