Electrical Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and tests electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves electrical issues in production machinery to minimize downtime.
- Implements and maintains electrical safety standards and procedures.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into new and existing manufacturing processes.
- Selects, configures, and calibrates sensors, actuators, and control systems for automated production lines.
- Develops and reviews electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Participates in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through electrical system optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works Electrical) for schematic design and panel layouts.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
- Experience with safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in production machinery.
- Experience with robotics or automation systems
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or MATLAB for data analysis or scripting
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or demonstrated experience leading complex projects
- Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ether Net/IP, PROFINET)
