Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing through rigorous testing of salary data and systems within Challenge Mfg. Company, LLC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for salary calculations, deductions, benefits, and tax with holdings.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of payroll systems, software updates, and new functionalities.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues related to salary processing, working with IT and HR to resolve them.
  • Verify compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
  • Analyze payroll data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT departments to understand payroll requirements and system changes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, results, and issues.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of payroll testing methodologies and best practices.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or quality assurance with a focus on payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, calculations, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and HRIS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
