Title: Wire Harness Assembler
Location: Walker, MI
Industry: Military Vehicles / Wire Harness
Pay/Duration: 18.00 - 20.00 per hour / 4 months plus contract to hire

- Perform a wide range of complex electronic assembly and soldering operations on low voltage, high voltage, microwave or other components or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions.
- Read and interpret work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
- Operate semi‑automatic equipment such as crimp presses, sonic welder, and wire strippers.
- Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in‑process assemblies and finished products.
- Prep components prior to assembly, clean components, wire bond, potting, seal, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies.
- Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using hand tools.
- Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
- Capable of being trained across the entire product line and working with Engineering on new or emerging products as well as producing first articles.
- Experience in complex electronic assembly and soldering operations on low voltage, high voltage, microwave or other components or subassemblies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, and following work instructions.
- Ability to operate semi‑automatic equipment such as crimp presses, sonic welders, and wire strippers.
- Experience in visual and dimensional inspections of in‑process assemblies and finished products.
- Strong knowledge of IPC‑A-610, IPC‑WHMA‑620, JSTD‑001 standards.
- Ability to work with hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes to align, fit, or assemble components.
- Willingness to be trained across the entire product line and work with Engineering on new or emerging products.
- Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and ability to follow specific work instructions.
