Salary Range: $69,000 - $103,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Shop Foremans. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations and production schedules.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of manufacturing technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Manage inventory of materials, tools, and supplies.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering and management on project execution.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred
• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing shop environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using common shop tools, machinery, and measurement devices

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior technicians.
• Certification in a specialized trade (e.g., welding, hydraulics).
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish.
