Shipping & Receiving Lead | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $52,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Leads. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel, fostering a productive work environment.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to optimize material flow and meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies within the shipping and receiving department.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies, including damaged goods or missing shipments.
- Operate and maintain material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- 3+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead and train a small team.
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of shipping regulations, HAZMAT, and receiving best practices.
- Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing.

- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
