ARG is one of the largest hardware retailers in the United States and has two headquarters located in Lenexa, KS and Farmington Hills, MI. ARG’s origins date back over a century and operates more than 250 neighborhood stores throughout the United States.

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and maintenance of a store's inventory. The position requires an average commitment of 20–30 hours per work week, varying by store location. The coordinator sustains inventory integrity to guarantee the right product is in the right place at the right time and consistently provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

The role involves assisting in any area of store operations as needed.

• Ensure purchase orders are properly received from Ace and non‑Ace vendors.
• Report inventory discrepancies such as over/shorts and damages from orders received.
• Work with the freight captain to ensure proper receiving and replenishment at the store.
• Investigate all outbound items by scanning the location with a mobile device, determine cause, and follow all processes to correct the errors.
• Utilize Mango reports and programs, along with daily cycle counts, to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow defective merchandise procedures to ensure credits are received.
• Maintain on‑hand integrity by reviewing inventory discrepancies to determine causes and adjust counts as needed after proper research.
• Oversee price change completion, location code integrity, inventory level management, and adjustments.
• Coordinate store preparation for periodic full‑store physical inventories.
• Participate in all Inventory Coordinator training and consistently train and share knowledge with other store associates.
• Collaborate with Store Support Center departments to ensure proper inventory controls are in place.
• Partner with management to report and find solutions for inventory concerns.
• Complete all other inventory functions as assigned by management.

• Retail store experience preferred.

$15.00 – $16.00 per hour.
