Accounting Manager

A growing public accounting firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Walla Walla office. As part of a rapidly expanding national network of CPA firms, the organization combines the resources and growth opportunities of a larger platform with the collaborative culture and personalized client service of a local

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for a portfolio of business clients, including month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review sales and use tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
• Support business and individual tax preparation and compliance engagements
• Review bookkeeping, maintain general ledgers, and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Serve as a primary client contact, providing responsive service and accounting guidance
• Partner with firm leadership on client consulting, process improvements, and special projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm or client accounting services environment
• Strong experience with full‑cycle accounting and financial statement preparation
• Hands‑on experience with sales and use tax compliance is highly preferable
• Tax preparation experience for businesses and individuals is strongly preferable
• CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
