About the Position
Serves as accounting technical expert for the Walla Walla District Revolving Fund or Civil Works activity. Advises on specialized Revolving Fund activities such as facility account management, distribution of costs to civil funded projects, labor and payroll accounts.

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting; or a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. Those 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of business law.
- Combination of
Education and Experience:- At least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college‑level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge.
- Must also include one of the following:
- Twenty‑four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality (including up to 6 hours of business law).
- A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination.
- Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial coursework in accounting or auditing.
- Specialized Experience (GS‑07):
- One year of specialized experience at the second lower grade/level (GS‑05) that includes performing technical work providing the basic understanding of concepts and principles of accounting, such as organizing or reviewing financial data related to accounting problems.
- Education (GS‑07 Alternative):
- One full year of graduate‑level education in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this position, such as accounting or finance.
- Superior Academic Achievement (GS‑07):
- Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
- This could be based on:
- Class standing – applicant in the upper third of the graduating class.
- Grade‑Point Average – GPA of 3.0 or higher (B or better) on official transcript, or 3.5 or higher (B+ or better) on required courses.
