Office Assistant 3 (OA3) - Community Corrections Division
Location: Walla Walla, WA
Salary Range: $3,849.00 to $5,124.00 monthly (DOC WFSE Tier 39)
This full‑time, permanent position is located at the Walla Walla Field Office (401 West Main Street, Walla Walla, WA 99362). Under the general supervision of the Office Support Supervisor 2 (OSS2), the Office Assistant 3 provides file management and routine clerical support tasks for the unit. Work hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist the public, visitors, and clients and refer to appropriate staff.
- Manage a multi‑line phone system.
- Enter and retrieve database records from systems such as OMNI and OnBase.
- Maintain electronic and physical files.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Prepare meeting agendas, schedule appointments, purchase supplies, and manage building issues.
- Perform other miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least six months of clerical experience, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Unrestricted driver’s license valid in the state of Washington.
- Maintain reliable attendance.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.
- Navigate internal databases and multiple computer platforms/applications.
- Proofread written material; identify and correct errors, grammar, and punctuation.
- Communicate effectively and clearly with staff, supervisors, stakeholders, and the public.
- Strong written communication skills; clear, concise, factual writing.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills under stressful or adverse situations.
- Professional interaction with the public, clients, coworkers, and stakeholders.
- Effective oral and written communication in routine and emergency situations.
This position may be allocated for telework up to one day per week. Employees must use a reliable internet or cellular hotspot service at an authorized location within Washington and maintain confidentiality and equipment care.
