Job Title
Oversee and interact with daily golf patrons in a fun, positive, and professional manner while managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, and providing other services to ensure an exceptional golf experience for the public. Assist in supervising on-call employees and volunteers. Observe and enforce safe behaviors while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and excellent customer service to all visitors and participants.
Supervision received:
General direction and oversight are provided by the Golf Course Recreation Coordinator.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Basic first aid and CPR to ensure they can offer help if an issue arises.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to respond appropriately to an emergency.
- Knowledge of golf course.
- Interest and experience in working with community members in a caring and patient manner.
- Operate standard office machines such as computers, word processing and spreadsheet program software, electronic mail systems, internet applications, calculators, copiers, etc.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Tools and equipment used:
Golf carts, range equipment. Standard office machines such as computer terminals, word processing program software, electronic mail systems, internet applications, calculators, copiers, etc.
Physical demands:
Walking and standing for extended periods of time; seeing to monitor activities, hearing and speaking to exchange information; repetitive hand movements; intermittently sit, kneel, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, jump, run, reach, push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs. and 50 lbs. with assistance; exposure to fumes and vapors; exposure to sunlight, heat, noise, dust, wind and pollens.
Work environment:
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments; exposure to chemicals, sun or inclement weather conditions; contact with program participants and the public; exposure to noise and distractions; possible contact with dissatisfied individuals; possible exposure to airborne illnesses and bodily fluids. Employee works a flexible schedule which will include evening hours and weekends.
Required minimum qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age; background check completed;
Valid Driver's License;
Food Handlers Card & MAST alcohol training or obtain within sixty (60) days of hire.
Desired qualifications: CPR and First Aid. Bilingual in Spanish. Knowledge of golf play, rules and etiquette.
