Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology (Two Openings)

The Department of Biology at Whitman College is seeking candidates for two (2) Visiting Assistant Professor positions for one year, beginning August 2026. The first position is anchored in areas related to genetics or cell biology. The second position is anchored in areas related to ecology.
In addition to teaching upper‑level courses in these areas of expertise, successful candidates would also be expected to contribute to the introductory series and may be asked to teach an additional course in their area of interest or to supervise senior thesis students as part of their teaching duties.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology or a related field by the time of appointment.

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000
