Adjunct Faculty – Applied Communications (2025‑2026 Academic Year) at Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) is seeking part‑time adjunct instructors to teach vocational communications courses on campus and online.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned classes at the scheduled time and place.
- Provide a comprehensive syllabus at the beginning of the quarter.
- Develop and deliver instructional materials and assignments.
- Conduct frequent evaluations and provide timely feedback to students.
- Assign and submit grades per the college grading policy.
- Maintain accurate student records in the LMS.
- Hold a minimum of one office hour per week.
- Maintain course outlines and syllabi to reflect program curriculum.
- Review and recommend textbooks, materials, and technology.
- Utilize appropriate technology for the assignment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or closely related field.
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience at postsecondary level, or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Communications.
- Experience teaching at a community college.
- Experience with instructional technology (LMS, digital whiteboards, Zoom).
- Experience teaching in multiple modalities (in‑person, hybrid, online).
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Adjunct salaries are determined by enrollment and are set according to the WWCC Board of Trustees and the WWCC Association for Higher Education. See the approved fee schedule for details.
Employment ConditionsThis is a part‑time instruction assignment contingent on enrollment and located primarily at the Walla Walla campus. Candidates must provide lawful employment documentation within three days of hire and undergo a background check. The college is a tobacco‑free institution.
