Position Overview
Part‑time faculty are needed to teach Automotive Collision Technology courses at Aims Community College. Responsibilities include delivering day and/or evening classes, creating instructional materials, operating industry equipment, and engaging with students throughout stacked class block schedules.
Responsibilities- Teach Automotive Collision Technology courses according to the department schedule.
- Develop and maintain instructional materials, including test banks and lesson plans.
- Operate and maintain automotive service education equipment.
- Engage with multiple students simultaneously during stacked class block schedules.
- Use Microsoft Office software and computer‐based learning systems.
- Associate’s degree in Automotive Service Technology or a related field, plus 4,000 hours of relevant work experience, or a current industry license or certification with 6,000 hours of relevant work experience.
- Ford Master Technician Certification or ability to obtain one prior to the first day of classes.
- Full and current Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in A1‑A8 and G1. L1 Certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
- Completion of ASE educational Foundation/NATEF Standards for a Program Instructor Certification.
- Post‑secondary vocational credential in Automotive issued by the Aims Community College CTE Office.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Previous college teaching experience (not required).
Wages range from $1,297.00 per credit to $3,753.00 per credit. For part‑time roles with low enrollment, pay is prorated on a 10% per student basis.
