Duties
* Serves as Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA), Financial Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) and is the subject matter expert for all things related to the Defense Travel System (DTS).
* Incumbent monitors and evaluates budget execution for assigned programs and mission areas to ensure funds are executed in accordance with approved Command spend plans, operating budgets and other fiscal requirements
* Incumbent reviews and implements SDDC budget guidance as applicable to facilitate development of both Brigade HQ and battalion level budgets for AOR.
* Incumbent identifies problem areas, researches, determines, and implements corrective courses of action.
* Incumbent advises GS Brigade Team Analyst of funding shortfalls and excess funds within assigned program areas that are available for reprogramming.
* Incumbent analyzes and summarizes historical data to identify trends and to assess funding requirements.
* Incumbent verifies and ensures requirements included in budgets are consistent with Command's mission and budget development requirements Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
* Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d;
Certification Level 2.
* A one year probationary period may be required. Qualifications Who May Apply:
