Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Occupational Therapist (OT) with acute care experience for a temporary assignment. This role involves floating between various units within a short‑term acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will possess strong teamwork skills and a dedicated work ethic.

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to a diverse patient population within an acute care setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient treatment programs.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EMR system.
• Adapt to a float role, providing coverage across multiple units as needed.

Weekend rotation required: 1 weekend every 4 weeks.

• Active Washington State Occupational Therapist (OT) license, in hand.
• Acute care experience is mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is highly desirable.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required.

• Proficient in occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of 8–9 patients per day.
• Adaptability and flexibility to float between units.

Epic charting system experience.

Adult and geriatric patients requiring acute care.

Float between units in a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center.

Will position float between units. On‑call is not required.
