Job Overview

The Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant Certified, and Medical Assistant positions support the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare at Providence Medical Group in the Walla Walla area. Medical Assistants work under the supervision of a licensed practitioner to perform administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, and assisting physicians with exams.

They are expected to follow established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Open positions are located at various clinics across the Walla Walla area.

• Administer common patient care tasks: obtain vital signs, administer injections, and medication administration.
• Record and update medical information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, specimen collection, and lab testing.
• Maintain patient records and support clinic workflow.

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school or registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces OR a minimum of one year of medical assistant work experience that includes vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire:
  Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Within 30 days of hire:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.

• 6 months of prior experience providing high-level customer service in a fast paced environment.
• 6 months of previous experience in a healthcare setting using an electronic health record (EHR).

• Until hire:
  National Medical Assistant Certification.
• 6 months of overall healthcare experience.
• 6 months of medical assistant experience.

Associate Medical Assistant:
Min: $19.00, Max: $28.47

Medical Assistant Certified:
Min: $20.70, Max: $31.68

$1,000 Sign‑On Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.

After meeting eligibility requirements, Associate Medical Assistants and Medical Assistants may consider the following future roles:

• Senior Medical Assistant – pay range $23.31–$35.66
• Lead Medical Assistant – pay range $24.71–$37.80
