Hospitality Associate | The Walls Vineyards

About The Walls:
At The Walls and PÁŠXA, we’re not just pouring wine - we’re creating unforgettable experiences. Born in Walla Walla, The Walls extends its reach across Washington’s most celebrated wine regions and into Milton-Freewater, Oregon, just a stone’s throw away. From the ancient riverbeds of The Rocks District at the foothills of the Blue Mountains to the Yakima Valley, Red Mountain, and the greater Columbia Valley, The Walls captures the diversity and character of this remarkable region.

Named one of Wine & Spirits Top 100 Wineries in 2023 (the youngest winery ever to earn this honor) we are pushing boundaries in Washington wine while staying true to our commitment to excellence, hospitality, and community.

The Role

We’re looking for a fun, professional individual who is passionate about hospitality, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Hospitality Associate, you’ll be the face of our winery, guiding guests through tastings, sharing the story behind our wines, and creating a warm, engaging atmosphere from the moment they arrive. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently, and has a genuine appreciation for great wine, food, and memorable experiences.

Our team is made up of detail-oriented individuals who hold themselves to high standards and care deeply about both the guests we serve and the wines we pour.

We’re seeking candidates with somewhat flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evenings and events. Previous wine knowledge is a plus, but curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to grow are even more important. If you’re an independent, thoughtful contributor with a strong interest in wine and hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver warm, attentive hospitality to guests through guided tastings and thoughtful brand storytelling.
  • Share knowledge about our wines, winemaking philosophy, and current offerings in an approachable, engaging way.
  • Confidently promote wine sales and club memberships through genuine hospitality and product knowledge.
  • Take orders, answer questions, and pour wines with care and professionalism.
  • Build genuine connections with returning guests while creating memorable first impressions for new visitors.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and hospitality team to ensure seamless daily operations and exceptional service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized tasting space while completing daily side work and service standards assigned by management.
  • Assist guests with wine purchases, packing and fulfilling orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Support winery events, release weekends, and special experiences through setup, hosting, and guest engagement as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in hospitality, viticulture, or wine-related fields is a plus.
  • 1-2 years previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or wine-related roles is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and guest interactions.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry wine cases, and move around the tasting room.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Compensation
  • Hourly wage: $18 per hour
  • Average effective hourly earnings range from $24–$30 per hour when inclusive of tips and sales commissions
Schedule & Reporting
  • Part-time (16-24 hrs/week) position with flexible hours based on business needs
  • Schedule will include weekends and occasional evening support
