Position OverviewThe Hospitality & Events Lead plays an essential role in shaping the daily experience of our members and guests. This is a hospitality-forward position for someone who genuinely enjoys people and takes pride in creating thoughtful, welcoming experiences.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing customer service, event support, retail sales, and operational responsibilities. A passion for wine is important — but equally important is the ability to communicate warmly, anticipate needs, and make people feel at home.
What You’ll Do Member Experience & Hospitality- Welcome members and guests with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Receive member wine deliveries, notify of deliveries and carefully place wines in lockers
- Provide tours for prospective members and support new member onboarding
- Build strong relationships with members and contribute to a highly personalized experience
- Work collaboratively with TDH Sommelier to assist with wine sales and retail programming
- Support member tastings and educational seminars from start to finish, assisting with planning, setup, breakdown, pouring, and sales transactions
- Help create polished, thoughtful experiences that reflect The Drayman House brand
- Support the execution of private events and room reservations by liaising with members, vendors and member’s guests
- Oversee day‑day facility upkeep, including cleaning, maintenance, and restocking supplies.
- Wash and polish stemware, dishes, and service items
- Monitor cellar temperature and humidity levels
- Help maintain organized, detail‑oriented operational systems
- Assist with member communications, event promotion, and retention initiatives
- Contribute to social media content
- Support the team with marketing and community-building efforts
- Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Friendly, professional, and team‑oriented attitude
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs. Experience with Canva a plus.
- Experience with managing social media platforms a plus – Instagram and Facebook
- Willingness to learn Coworks and other internal systems
- Must be 21+ years
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and special events
- MAST Permit (Class 12) — current or willing to obtain
- Walla Walla County Food Handler’s Permit — current or willing to obtain
- $25/hour
- Share of profit from wine sales
- Employee pricing on wine purchases
- Personal wine storage locker
Thurs–Saturday, 10AM‑5PM. Semi‑regular evening availability is needed for member and private events, with most events wrapping up by 8:30PM. Approximately 20‑25hrs per week, with flexibility based on events.
