POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing daily crating and shipping activities to ensure equipment is properly packaged, documented, and shipped on schedule. This role works closely with Production and Project Management to coordinate crating workloads, monitor equipment readiness, plan and schedule shipments, obtain freight quotes, prepare export documentation, and ensure packaging and shipping activities meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate daily workload based on production schedules, shipping priorities, and customer commitments.
  • Collaborate with Production and Project Managers to understand equipment completion status and forecast shipping requirements.
  • Develop and maintain load plans to efficiently utilize available truck space.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments utilizing various transportation methods, including LTL, FTL, air freight, and ocean freight.
  • Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and international shipping requirements.
  • Understand and verify heat treatment certifications and marking requirements for export wood packaging in accordance with ISPM-15.
  • Perform final inspections of completed crates to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Verify correct equipment, quantities, labeling, documentation, and packaging prior to shipment.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Education and/or Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Abilities
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Other Skills/Abilities
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
