Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) will provide skilled nursing care, including patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning. This role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and effective communication with patients and providers. The position requires experience with Epic charting and may involve block scheduling and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the ER.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other team members.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in Epic.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- Clinical Assessment, Medication Administration, and Treatment Planning skills
- Minimum two years of hospital, home health, or hospice care experience
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience with Epic charting systems.

Special Considerations:

- Rotating weekends are required.
- Block schedules are required.
- The position does not float between units.
- On-call is not required.
