Professional Groomer – Join Our Team at Animal Clinic East

Animal Clinic East is seeking a skilled and compassionate groomer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and takes pride in delivering high-quality grooming services.

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule; general availability Monday through Friday is required.

• Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
• Knowledge of breed‑specific grooming standards
• Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Grooming certification is a plus
• Portfolio and references required

• Prior professional grooming experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of breed standards and grooming techniques
• Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Patient, attentive, and committed to animal well‑being

• Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $17.13 per hour worked, whichever is greater, + tips

Animal Clinic East is a full‑service hospital that offers routine medical care, emergency surgery, orthopedic surgery, dentistry, and grooming services to Walla Walla pets. We prioritize preventative care and are well equipped with digital radiology, an in‑house lab, ultrasound, laser therapy, and a long‑term, highly skilled support staff (including multiple LVTs)! Our eight‑doctor team primarily sees small animals and pocket pets;

however, we also treat avian and wildlife patients on occasion. We promote a strong culture, where everyone enjoys each other’s company, and our hospital feels like a home away from home.
