Dishwasher

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time DISHWASHER positions at Whitman College – 114 Otis Street, Walla Walla, WA 99362. Online applications only.

Full‑time and part‑time; days, evenings, and weekends may vary. More details will be provided during interview.

Pay: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor to a dish‑washing machine depending on assigned equipment; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

No previous experience required. Willing to train.
