Role:
Seasonal, part-time Tasting Room Associate – a weekly, hourly position eligible for tips. Typically May - October, with evening and weekend availability.
Job Responsibilities
- Be friendly, courteous, and interact professionally with a wide variety of personalities, meeting the needs of every guest.
- Learn product information to help guests with selections, purchases, and event assistance.
- Assist with wine club and eCommerce orders – pulling, packing, processing for delivery and curbside pickup.
- Support management in enforcing winery policies regarding guest use of the facility.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the tasting room appearance and cleanliness up to or exceeding standards.
- Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships, and collect wine tasting fees.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Minimum 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid MAST 12 Class Permit and Food Handler's Permit.
- At least two years of customer service experience (retail/hospitality preferred).
- Excellent communication, customer service, sales, and multitasking skills.
- Interest or knowledge of wine and the wine industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment as part of a team.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexible and available for varied hours, including weekends.
- History of responsible alcohol use and appropriate conduct; fit to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
$17.13 - $21.38 per hour, based on relevant experience.
