Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Walla Walla, WA 97862

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser you will have the opportunity to work independently, showcasing your organization and time‑management skills, and establishing retailer relationships while representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

and Schedule Details
  • Starting hourly pay rate from $17.13 to $19.13 depending on skills and experience
  • Paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions
  • Voluntary benefits for part‑time employees include medical, dental, vision, etc.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the week
  • Average weekly hours between 3–9 hours
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department and mass retailers
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for daily tasks, communication with supervisors, time reporting, feedback, and surveys. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    During seasonal demand peaks such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours. On some holidays you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks such as building/relocating Hallmark fixtures, moving card departments, and resetting card sections. Notification usually occurs two weeks in advance. Assignments may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, needing to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and use step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled
