Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, General Labor
SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician will perform general building maintenance to support the property management and site services team including grounds and landscape maintenance duties, which includes driving to multiple properties with a company vehicle. This position will help ensure that all assigned properties remain functional, secure, and maintained in a clean and presentable manner, contributing to a positive experience for tenants, visitors, and ownership.
SCHEDULEMonday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm;
Overtime available during the summer season
- Troubleshoot building issues, repair as needed or contact appropriate vendor for repairs
- Perform misc. building repairs - replacing ceiling tiles, repairing door locks, interior and exterior painting, plumbing repairs (unclogging toilet, fixing leaking fixtures), minor electrical repairs and replacing light bulbs, sweeping and pressure washing sidewalks & parking lots, pressure washing buildings, window washing pulling and/or spraying weeds etc.
- Enforcing parking in reserved spaces
- Being available for infrequent after-hour emergency calls
- Provide building access to vendors/contractors
- Meet contractors for annual inspections
- Safely operate a tractor, riding mower, lifts, forklifts, and move irrigation lines
- Safely operate handheld power equipment, such as line trimmers, backpack blowers, chainsaws, and mowers
- Pickup and unload materials and equipment
- Perform daily debris removal and property cleanup
- Adhere to company rules, regulations, safety
- Maintain a tidy and safe workspace
- Clearly and respectfully communicate with supervisors and coworkers
- Perform fueling, lube, and minor maintenance on equipment as required
- Assist with site security measures and property inspections as needed
- Perform safety-related pre‑task planning prior to the start of each workday
- Work with team on snow removal during winter months
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years in the maintenance or construction industry preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Experience with the operation of basic hand, power tools, tractors, lifts, and riding mower
- Timeliness and organizational skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds; push, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices)
- Ability to be self‑directed and work alone or as part of a team when required
- Ability to work outdoors in cold, hot, and wet environments
In addition to a variety of excellent benefits, the hourly range for this role is $20‑$22/hr actual compensation will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
