Part Time - Accounting Associate - Payroll Processor

Michigan Solar Solutions is seeking an experienced Part Time Accounting Associate / Payroll Processor to provide support for our accounting team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who can step in quickly and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This position is 20-30 hours a week.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, a strong team player, and highly proficient in Quick Books Online, payroll processing, and invoicing.

Job Responsibilities Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule

Manage payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage/Davis Bacon requirements

Handle invoicing and billing tasks in a timely and accurate manner

Maintain and update financial records in Quick Books Online Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years of accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping experience

Experience with prevailing wage compliance

Strong proficiency in Quick Books Online is required

Must be computer savvy and comfortable working across multiple software platforms and systems to perform daily job functions

Experience processing payroll and handling invoicing

Experience in construction, solar, or other project-based industries is a plus Strong ability to learn new systems and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Must be able to work onsite

Education Requirements Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
