The Position
* Inspire student growth through engaging, interactive instruction aligned with Michigan standards
* Design and deliver rigorous Math and/or Science lessons that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration
* Support a Marketing elective program, integrating project-based and real-world learning experiences when applicable
* Foster a classroom culture rooted in trust, respect, and high expectations
* Use data-driven instructional strategies, differentiation, and intervention systems to support all learners
* Effectively integrate technology to enhance learning outcomes
Education and Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
* Valid Michigan Teacher Certification in Math and/or Science (EX, DX, DI, or equivalent)
* Experience, knowledge, and/or willingness to study and prepare to teach a Marketing elective
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Understanding of formative/summative assessment and the MTSS framework
* Commitment to collaboration, continuous growth, and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience teaching in an interdisciplinary or project-based setting
* Background or coursework in business or marketing
* Demonstrated ability to engage middle school learners through innovative, student-centered approaches
Job Summary
* Implement Math/Science curriculum, following the State curriculum standards
* Design and utilize creative and engaging lesson plans
* Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of individual students
* Assess students using both formative and summative assessments
* Include practical application of content knowledge in lesson plans
* Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner
* Develop and implement strategies of interventions for individual students
* Establish and consistently implement positive classroom management strategies while promoting safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for each learner
* Utilize progress monitoring
* Maintain accurate and complete student records
* Establish and maintain an effective and cooperative working relationship with all staff, students, and parents
