Required Qualifications:
* Valid Michigan teaching certificate with K-12 Special Education endorsement
* Master's degree in education or a related field focused on special education
* Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience, including at least 2 years in special education
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with general education teachers to design and implement appropriate programming for students with disabilities
* Provide coaching and ongoing support to staff on evidence-based instructional and behavioral practices
* Facilitate and lead team meetings, guiding data collection, analysis, and student support plan development through collaborative problem-solving
* Review records for transfer students requiring specialized services
* Deliver formal and informal professional development sessions on instructional and behavioral strategies
* Maintain consistent communication with general and special educators, support staff, and parents regarding student progress
* Ensure timely, effective communication with families, staff, and school personnel
* Aggregate, interpret, and share assessment data to inform student programming
* Maintain special education records in compliance with IDEA and Board of Education policy; provide required documentation to the Executive Director of Student Support Services as requested
* Participate in IEPT, MET, and other required meetings
* Perform additional duties as assigned
* All other duties as assigned
