Spanish - World Language Teacher / FTE 1.0
EFFECTIVE: 2025/26 School Year
Hazel Park Schools is seeking applicants for the position of Hazel Park High School Spanish - World Language Teacher, for the 2025/2026 school year. The school is served by a caring and professional teaching staff providing instruction to approximately 600 students. The Hazel Park community is proud and supportive of its schools, the staff and student population.
Specific
Qualifications:
* Valid Michigan Teaching certificate
* Must possess a secondary teaching certificate with an FF endorsement
* Demonstrate a written and spoken fluency of the Spanish language
Job Responsibilities:
* Create instructional resources for use in the classroom
* Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
* Create positive educational climate for students to learn in
* Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
* Participate in ongoing training sessions
* Create lesson plans, aligned with common core and modify accordingly throughout the year
* Provide grades and administer assessments timely
* Create projects and activities that are designed to create higher level thinking
* Read and stay abreast of current topics in education
* Utilize district curriculum resources
* Tutor students on an individual basis
* Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
* Provide on-going communication to parents on student progress and classroom activities
* Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures
Compensation:
Accordance with the Salary Schedule - H.P.E.A. Contract
