EMPLOYMENT IS COORDINATED THROUGH EDUSTAFF
POSITION SUMMARY:
Substitute position is for the Early Learning Center Lead Teacher. You will partner with the current staff in the classroom, where routines are already established. You will be responsible for collaborating with staff in all aspects of planning, assessing, and instructing preschool age children; based on the needs of each child and the State of Michigan licensing requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Teaching experience with Early Childhood/Preschool Aged Children.
* Certified in CPR and First Aid
* Skills in providing effective learning experiences that foster academic growth in a developmentally appropriate manner
* Is able to work effectively, make decisions, and problem solve collaboratively within a team
* Is able to work well with diverse families and engage parents as full partners in the child's learning
* Is able to act as a resource person for families
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, families, and colleagues
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Implement developmentally appropriate instruction for children using the High Scope curriculum
* Follow the daily routine as outlined in the curriculum
* Conduct ongoing assessment of children and provide age appropriate instructional support
* Attend staff meetings, workshops, professional learning, and other scheduled program activities as requested
* Participate in the planning, team meetings, troubleshooting, and decision making
* Participate with behavior and support the educational process in the classroom
* Participate in District recruitment efforts, including open houses and round-ups
* Able to work flexible hours as needed for Family Engagement Activities, including but not limited to, parent workshops parent teacher conferences, orientation, recruitment events, and open houses
* Perform other duties, as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee must be capable of performing physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for long periods of time. Work environment has raised noise level.
RATE OF PAY: 15.00/hour starting
