Special Education Teacher | Walled Lake, Michigan

This contract opportunity requires a dedicated professional who can provide high-quality instruction and individualized support to elementary and secondary students in specialized settings.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will collaborate with other educators and staff to deliver resource programs at both elementary and secondary levels, as well as work within a Secondary ASD classroom and an Elementary Targeted Intervention (TI) room. This role offers a full-time schedule at 40 hours per week.

• Valid and active Special Education Teaching license (required)
• Expertise working with students in resource or specialized settings at elementary and secondary grade levels
• Familiarity with ASD classroom strategies and intervention room support
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Emergency certifications are not accepted

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Manage classroom routines and foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
• Collect and report data on student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed
• Support students with a range of educational needs, emphasizing growth and success
