Hours:
Monday - Friday, 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm (40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year)
Starting Pay: $18.63 per hour (commensurate with education/experience) according to the AFSCME Salary Schedule and Current AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Good moral character
- Ability to create and maintain good public relations
- Proficiency in English communication
- Knowledge of custodial equipment, materials, and methods
- Ability to work independently without constant direct supervision
- Capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Excellent attendance record
- Successful completion of drug, fitness screening, and criminal background check
- Clean assigned areas:
- Sweep and vacuum rooms and halls
- Dust rooms and lockers
- Mop bathroom floors, clean toilets and urinals, and replenish paper supplies
- Clean whiteboards as necessary
- Clean doors and windows
- Clean entryways
- Report any needed repairs to the custodial supervisor
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in their section
- Perform setups and takedowns for events and activities
- Clean up after night activities
- Assist with snow removal
- Perform other duties as assigned
Per School Safety Legislation, each individual who is either employed full‑time or part‑time, or is assigned to work under contract, shall be fingerprinted for the purpose of performing a criminal history background check. Prior to employment, selected candidates must complete the fingerprinting process.
