Full‑time, 12‑month, 1.0 FTE, 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM (Shift)

Qualifications
  • Proof of a satisfactory criminal background check as defined by state standards.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain building cleaning and facilities/work grounds: kitchens, cafes, classrooms, bathrooms, offices, locker rooms, and exterior grounds.
  • Monitors and ensures building cleanliness & security; perform preventative, minor, exterior maintenance; stock & deliver supplies.
  • Clean, sweep, dust, and disinfect hallways, stairwells, classrooms, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and other rooms; empty waste baskets weighing up to 50 lb.
  • Strip old wax & apply new wax to floors; wet mop, buff floors.
  • Sanitize and maintain rest rooms, locker rooms, & swimming pools; replace bathroom supplies.
  • Replace light bulbs; make minor adjustments & repairs to plumbing, electrical, and building fixtures; check heating & ventilation; replace filters.
  • Wash windows, display cases, glass doors, mirrors; polish stainless steel & other metal work.
  • Maintain tile, carpet, wood floors & baseboards.
  • Replace ceiling tiles; wash walls, marker boards, counters, sinks, tables, lockers, etc.
  • Monitor buildings and grounds; report hazardous or defective conditions.
  • Pick up trash from grounds, empty exterior waste containers.
  • Remove snow & ice; salt sidewalks; maintain safety of exterior walkways.
  • Respond to emergency incidents (accidents, vandalism, graffiti) by cleaning, repairing, and securing the area.
  • Set up & tear down seating, tables for meetings, events, athletic and community activities.
  • Perform inspections for preventative maintenance; perform minor maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC).
  • Maintain swimming pools and related operational systems; daily testing of pool water; maintain pH balances; conduct safety checks; complete required Health Department forms.
  • Secure building when not in use; check unlocked doors/windows; report unauthorized occupants; turn off lights.
  • Respond to burglar/fire alarms from district‑approved security companies.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.
