Mixer Technician / Batch Maker
Location:
Walled Lake, MI Pay: $18-$20/hour (Candidates requiring a higher rate may still be considered) Shift: 1st Shift
We are seeking a dependable Mixer Technician / Batch Maker to join a manufacturing team in Walled Lake. This position is responsible for preparing and mixing chemical solutions according to established work instructions, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and clean mixing equipment.
- Measure and prepare chemicals/materials according to documented work instructions.
- Prepare solutions and make adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
- Collect samples and perform basic quality testing.
- Troubleshoot mixing and solution-related issues.
- Document production, process, and quality information.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on mixing equipment.
- Safely handle, document, and dispose of chemical waste.
- Follow all safety, environmental, housekeeping, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Previous batch making, chemical mixing, blending, production, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Comfortable working around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to follow formulas, written instructions, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
Schedule Production generally runs Monday-Thursday, with employees required to be available on Fridays as needed. Depending on production requirements, the schedule will alternate between: 10-hour shifts: 5: 00 AM
-3: 00 PM 12-hour shifts: 3: 00 AM
-3: 00 PM Candidates must be comfortable with both schedules based on production needs.
