Quality Technician –1st Shift

Location:

Walled Lake, MI Full-Time | Direct Hire Pay: $19.50-$21.00/hour (based on experience) Join a Growing Manufacturing Team! Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support quality assurance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working with data, and are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company with a collaborative team.

Schedule Production is generally scheduled Monday-Thursday, with Fridays as needed 10-hour shifts: 5: 00 AM-3: 00 PM 12-hour shifts (based on production needs): 3: 00 AM-3: 00 PM Shift schedules vary based on production demands

What You’ll Do
  • Perform quality inspections and acceptance testing on raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality testing while ensuring accurate and repeatable results
  • Record quality data using SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems
  • Communicate inspection results to the manufacturing team
  • Generate quality reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment following established procedures
  • Maintain sample archives and quality records
  • Assist with training new Quality Technicians when needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives while following all safety and housekeeping standards
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of quality inspection or manufacturing quality experience preferred
  • Experience with computer data entry and quality documentation
  • Knowledge of SPC or quality management systems is preferred
  • ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to adapt in a production-driven environment
  • Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work throughout both laboratory and manufacturing environments
  • Comfortable working in varying plant temperatures
