DESCRIPTION
Madison District Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as the Varsity Baseball Coach at Madison High School. The successful candidate will provide leadership in developing a competitive baseball program that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, academic success, and character development while supporting the overall mission of the district's athletic program.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Previous baseball coaching experience preferred
* Strong understanding of baseball fundamentals and team development
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
* Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* CPR/First Aid certification
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Organize, supervise, and coach the high school varsity baseball team.
* Develop practice plans focused on skill development, conditioning, and team strategy.
* Promote positive sportsmanship and student-athlete character development.
* Ensure compliance with all district policies, athletic department procedures, and MHSAA rules and regulations.
* Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team-related activities.
* Collaborate with sub-varsity coaches to support program continuity and athlete development.
* Maintain appropriate communication with athletes, parents, staff, and administration.
* Monitor student-athlete academic progress and promote academic achievement.
* Coordinate equipment inventory, uniforms, and program needs.
* Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development as assigned.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
