Accounting Manager

RESPONSIBILITIESPosition will manage all accounting functions of the Company, including but not limited to:
- Performing, planning directing and/or coordinating all operational accounting functions.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of individual and consolidated business results.
- Managing all aspects of the general and subsidiary ledgers, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Preparing internal and external financial statements.
- Coordinate completion of annual audits with external auditors.
- Coordinate completion of annual corporate tax filings with external tax accountants.
- Accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
- Continual assessment of accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes and procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining internal control systems.
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Preparation and/or coordination of all indirect tax filings (sales & use, property, GST, etc.).
- Continual development, training and retention of accounting staff.
Individual must demonstrate excellent communication, technology, problem solving and analytical skills, possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles and have the following:
- 10 to 15 years relevant experience, which includes public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Experience in multi-company organizations, consolidation, intercompany procedures.
- Experience in international business and/or foreign currency transactions.
- Cost accounting, manufacturing and strong ERP system experience.
