Assistant Civil Detailer (Underground Exp)

Immediate need for a talented Assistant Civil Detailer (Underground Exp). This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Wallingford, CT (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting schematics and design layouts, coordinating with engineers and project managers, implementing design revisions, maintaining CAD standards, and assisting with drawing production, detailing, and project documentation while ensuring compliance with company and client standards.

Key Requirements and Technology

Experience:

• Min 5 years of underground design/drafting experience.
• Software Programs:
  AutoCAD & Civil3D (Must) / Micro Station, Revit (Preferred)
• Detail-oriented, problem solver with CAD detailing, drafting practices and project documentation.
• Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field and min 4 years related experience OR Associate Degree and min 5 years related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and min 6 years progressive detailing and design experience required.
• Min 5 years of underground design/drafting experience with multiple software platforms (Civil 3D, Micro Station, Revit, etc.).
• 2–5 years of CAD experience (Civil 3D strongly emphasized).
• Ability to produce quality drawings independently, with room to grow into design responsibilities.
• Comfortable with standard drafting practices, file management, and project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, Highly adaptable and resourceful, Good communication skills with project leads and peers.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Confident communicator with clients and internal stakeholders.
