Right At Home In Home Care, located in Wallingford CT is currently seeking professional vaccinated Homemakers, HHA's, Companions, CNA's, & PCA's, to provide care to our elderly clients in the convenience of their homes. The ideal candidate should have 6 months or more of documented caregiving experience. Targeted areas:
Wallingford, Meriden, Middletown, Southington, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Watertown, Woodbury, Plymouth, Terryville, and surrounding areas. Great opportunity for high school seniors, college students, retirees, and veterans

Compensation and Benefits for the Caregiver Full time, Part-time Salary: $17.50 - $22.00/hour

Requirements of the Caregiver:
Must be 18 years of ageMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the jobMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Reliable Transportation Valid Driver's license and auto insurance

High School diploma or GEDMust have the ability to pass a full employment background check

Must have basic computer skills and navigate with little assistance from others

Nice to Have's:

CNA or HHA Certification6 months or more experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare preferred CPR and First Aid Certification Covid Vaccination and ability to provide card

You don't mind getting a little dirty...this could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, assistance with dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.

You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Must Haves:

You must have a high school diploma or GEDMeets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care

Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check

Must have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies

Current CPR Certificate is recommended6 months experience as a Home Health Aide in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course.
