Leads Specialist
The Leads Specialist is responsible for streamlining lead intake, routing, and nurturing processes to support both marketing and sales objectives. Positioned within the marketing department, this role acts as a bridge between teams by managing smaller opportunities, forwarding high-value leads to sales, and leveraging CRM tools and automation platforms to maintain data accuracy and improve engagement strategies. Success in this role requires proven experience with CRM systems, strong collaboration across the marketing, sales, and product management teams, adaptability to new tools and technologies, and a commitment to data accuracy and process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead Intake and Routing- Distribute leads to the appropriate channel or partner in accordance with established guidelines.
- Track and monitor forwarded leads to ensure timely follow-up and visibility.
- Continuously improve processes for lead routing and tracking.
- Manage lead-nurturing programs and optimize campaigns for greater effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain lead scoring models to prioritize engagement.
- Segment and qualify event-generated leads based on interest and readiness.
- Create tailored follow-up strategies for leads from webinars, sponsored content, and other marketing activities.
- Respond to general inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical questions during qualification.
- Review quote certification requests to determine appropriate approval requirements and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver scheduled lead performance reports.
- Maintain accurate records of lead volume and sources for tracking and analysis.
- Collaborate with data analysts to develop dashboards and ensure data integrity for lead management.
- Maintain and enhance marketing automation workflows; troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Monitor lead-capture forms to identify trends and recommend content updates to improve the user experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field OR equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Hub Spot, Salesforce).
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Understanding of lead management processes, campaign optimization, and basic data analysis.
