Summary
The Inventory Coordinator (Cable) is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient inventory management processes. This role plays a key part in tracking, organizing, and reporting stock levels to support operations and minimize discrepancies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with inventory management systems and cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts and reconciliation processes
- Update inventory management systems with real-time data on stock levels, transfers, and adjustments
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Use exception reporting and targeted count lists to identify specific product requiring investigation and counting.
- Weigh and count inventory as required; check all inventory locations when discrepancies are found.
- Review negative inventory quantities in sub-inventory locations
- Review aging open work orders for existence and accuracy of reported amounts in ERP system.
- Resolve all identified inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and propose systemic solutions.
- Ensure adherence to current cycle count policy
- Spend the majority (80-90%) of time on the manufacturing floor, working closely with operators, supervisors, warehouse staff and purchasing staff to identify issues.
- Assist with audits and cycle counts, and implement corrective actions when necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics or related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or managing inventory transactions
- Experience using large ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) a plus
