Skiving Operator-2nd shift

* This position is onsite 5 days per week Monday-Friday

Hours will be 2:30pm-11:00pm

JOB SUMMARY:

The Skiving Lathe Operator is a key member of the operations team. the Skiving Lathe Operator handles the setup, operation, monitoring, inspection, and labeling of the large skive machine and materials. The role also includes accurate data entry into Epicor (ERP) to support production tracking and quality control. This position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists where needed to ensure on time deliveries
• Understands how to setup and operate large skive machine
• Understands requirements of Job orders and follows instructions
• Monitors PTFE tape thickness, makes adjustments to equipment as necessary to maintain within standard (or job specific) tolerances
• Rewinds and verifies material meets specifications and is visually acceptable
• Inspects and ensures rolls meet thickness and width dimension requirements
• Labels all material legibly with correct data
• Maintains skiving logs and enters data into Epicor
• Operates Forklift in a safe manner
• Operates shear, cut-off, band and panel saws in a safe manner, wears appropriate personal protection equipment
• Works 40 hours w/overtime as requested

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Able to use basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Maintain all safety and employee policies and report any infractions or concerns to management.
• Complete other related or assigned tasks, as needed
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
