Key Responsibilities:- Assemble products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided.
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.
- Maintain a neat, FOD free, safe and organized work area.
- Solder and assemble switches, PCB's, and similar assemblies per IPC-A-610 AND IPC-J-STD-001 and route wires per IPC-A-620.
- Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.
- Crimp, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, press fit or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mount assembled components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panel.
- Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points.
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases, housings, and cans.
- Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies.
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor.
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Skills:
- Experience as an assembler in defense manufacturing or aerospace.
- Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, e.g., look at dimension).
- Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gauges such as multimeters, torque and force gauges, etc.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a team as well as alone.
- High motivation and drive.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with spray booth painting, conformal coating.
- Experience with different chemicals.
- Seam soldering and Acetylene Torch use.
- Ability to sit for an extending period.
- Ability to work with your hands in a repetitive cycle.
- Ability to stand and walk.
- Be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.
