Quality Engineer - MREPosition Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer - MRE to support product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a precision manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key liaison between quality, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to ensure products meet all contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments and be comfortable managing nonconformance activities, customer communication, and cross-functional quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with customers, engineering, operations, inspection, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality and specification compliance.
- Review, maintain, and update quality documentation, including inspection records, qualification reports, and related quality data.
- Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including preparation and processing of nonconformance dispositions.
- Obtain required internal approvals and coordinate customer submissions related to product nonconformances.
- Monitor and communicate the status of quality actions, corrective measures, and customer responses.
- Serve as a quality representative for program teams by providing updates on quality-related issues and progress.
- Participate in root cause investigations and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Promote compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and other customer-specific requirements.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate activities between Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering, preferably within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality management system documentation.
- Hands‑on inspection experience using standard measurement tools and visual acceptance criteria.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of quality systems, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Understanding of customer quality expectations, supplier quality, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement principles.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead discussions, facilitate problem solving, and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
