Job Title
Quality Control Inspector – Temp to Hire
LocationWallingford, Connecticut
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities- Ability to read English, analyze, and interpret complex documents
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints
- Analyze products based on given requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups
- Able to work on small and fragile parts with minimal errors
- Analyze piece compliance according to process and customer requirements
- Able to translate specifications into part inspections following required inspection methodologies
- Able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, rulers, micrometers, and microscopes
- Awareness of and compliance with AS9100 protocols
- IPC experience
- IPC‑620
- IPC‑610
- J‑Standard
- Performs functions within the company’s ERP system (SAP)
- Ability to read and understand measurements in millimeters and inches
- Able to properly utilize equipment to inspect small products
- Work from semi‑complicated specifications and drawings, or other documentation
- Ensure product compliance by inspecting product characteristics
- Verify proper inspection methods as shown in SAP
- Verify shipments match part numbers and requirements of purchase orders
- Verify correct vendor certifications
- Carry out workstation audits in specific areas, as required
- Check parts for count, finish, quality of workmanship, and general appearance
- Make final determination if parts meet inspection criteria
- Generate defective material reports for products that do not conform to requirements
- Participate in and promote continuous improvements
