Pay Range: $23.20 - $31.90
Position SummaryThe Quality Technician role is established to support the Simple Plex and Simple Western Consumables team in the Wallingford facility. Assists Quality Analysts and the QA team in our ISO compliant environment. Provides support for QC / QA activities including hands‑on evaluation of microfluidic cartridge products and simple western cartridges (see ).
Key Responsibilities- Understand and follow appropriate quality protocols regarding Quality Manual, Record Keeping Guidelines, and general quality body of knowledge (Inspection plans, sampling, etc.)
- Follow safety procedures.
- Follow department specific SOPs.
- Maintain inventory.
- Learn and use LIMS (Lab Information Management System).
- Product testing of commercial work orders.
- Manufacturing of 10X Controls.
- Bachelor of Science degree in relevant field; with a minimum of 0‑2 years’ experience.
- Non‑science 4‑year degree or associate degree with 2‑4 years’ experience.
- High School degree with 5+ years of laboratory work and/or biologics handling experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Lab experience including pipetting.
- Microsoft Office (Excel) knowledge.
- Propose process improvements and flag areas for improvement.
- Ability to support and help others on the team.
- Support deviation and out‑of‑specification investigations.
- Perform lab work, including preparation of controls and reagents, and performing instrument runs.
- Demonstrate an increasing level of independence in daily work tasks.
- Flexibility to work on multiple tasks with increased effectiveness.
- Understand databases.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager, leadership team.
