Pay Range:

$17.60 - $24.20

All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation of assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time.

Pay Rate: $18/hour

Position Summary:

By joining the Bio-Techne team you will have an impact on future cutting-edge research. We are rethinking protein tools and helping thousands of researchers worldwide resolve their protein analysis problems so they can reveal new insight into proteins and their role in disease. The Simple Plex platform is an automated microfluidics-based immunoassay solution within the Analytical Solutions Division of Bio-Techne.

Product Support is vital to our success in developing and selling award-winning biotech instruments for the life sciences industry. The Simple Plex Product Support team is currently seeking a motivated Biology intern to join our team for a hands-on project focused on testing and troubleshooting incompatibilities when assays are run in multiplex. This project will provide the intern with a deeper understanding of immunoassay development and the complexities involved in optimizing multiplexed assays.

You will gain practical experience in experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving within a real-world laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Understand and follow appropriate lab protocols, including chemical handling, labeling, and safety procedures.

* Adhere to department-specific SOPs and compliance training requirements.

* Properly use and maintain laboratory equipment.

* Document experimental results accurately and thoroughly.

* Set up and perform experiments under the guidance of a supervisor.

* Analyze data to identify incompatibilities and troubleshoot assay performance issues.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and contribute to product improvement initiatives.

Program Requirements:

* Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the Biological Sciences.

* Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college

* Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program

Experience

Qualifications:

* Pursuing a degree in Biology or related field.

* Passion for biological sciences and interest in immunoassay development.

* Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

* Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
